Coffee Diary #1


Hello all,

I'm pleased to say that it's been a somewhat productive week for Oubliettes. The features I previously spoke of in the last post are coming along nicely. The menu/UI features are complete for now, the arena system is in place although a bit wonky, and the first mission is nearly finished! There were also many other fixes and bugs squashes!

These three things will be finished before the end of the week and the list of  remaining features to implement for the next update is more than halved. The features remaining are:

- spicing up the first mission! (this one will be a generic dungeon/maze, but keep in mind that the code is the most important thing in this implementation. Asset creation is far less difficult)

- dialogue

- animation/combat system

It is important to note that all things I am working on  having the common goal of stability, and easiness to update/change. I might say they are complete, but that is specifically because they have becoming fully functional, bug-free, and can readily be updated in short amounts of time. This is crucial as the game develops its gameplay loop. The next post will address the next chapter of features to implement. Once these are stable and ready, the game will be able to progress in a meaningful and enjoyable way, and hopefully people will become interested lol.
